Hi, this is Arslan Rafiq, and moment I am agitated to partake my experience of visiting Tolipir, a stirring hilltop area in Rawalakot Tehsil, Poonch District of Azad Kashmir.
The Journey Begins
Our trip to Tolipir started with an early morning drive from Islamabad. The trip was supposed to take around four hours, but since we were using our own auto and counting on Google Charts for navigation, it ended up taking us six hours to reach our destination. The drive itself was a scenic delight, with lush green hills and winding roads guiding us toward Tolipir.
The Ascent to Tolipir
As we mounted, the air came fresher and cooler, a welcome change from the summer heat. The geography converted with each turn, revealing further of the natural beauty that Azad Kashmir is famed for.
At the Summit
Reaching the peak of Tolipir felt like standing on top of the world. The loftiest point offers a 360- degree view, with the majestic Abbaspur, Bagh, and the serene Poonch River visible in the distance. The sight was nothing short of admiration- inspiring. The fresh mountain air and the sense of being so grandly above the world created a feeling of peaceful solitariness.

A Day of Adventure
Visiting Tolipir during the summer months is ideal, as the rainfall is perfect for out-of-door conditioning and disquisition. The area is a popular destination, attracting thousands of excursionists seeking respite from the heat and a chance to connect with nature. The views of the girding areas, including the distant mountains and denes , are simply unequalled .
The Return Journey
Since our trip to Tolipir was just a one- day adventure, we did not stay overnight. After spending a many hours exploring and enjoying the stunning views, we began our descent back to Islamabad. The drive back was inversely beautiful, with the setting sun casting a golden gleam over the hills.
