May My Country Prosper
Part 1: The Current State of Affairs
The situation in Pakistan is dire. Policies that should have been implemented have not been, and instead, poor alternatives have been introduced. In today’s age of development, people are still suffering due to road accidents, inadequate infrastructure, and recurring natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes. The drainage system in many areas is poor, leading to water logging. One must ask: Does the government not care about these issues?
The Education System
The education system is in a deplorable state. Students rely on rote memorization, and society values hotel owners more than teachers. A student spends 16 to 18 years completing their education, yet even after graduation, they remain uncertain about their future. Ironically, uneducated individuals often earn better livings.
Economic Struggles
Government policies have mentally drained more than half the population. Inflation hangs like a dark cloud over their lives. People are constantly struggling to afford the basic necessities—flour, ghee, sugar, tea, milk, pulses, vegetables, electricity, gas, and fuel. In response, the government gives Rs. 12,000 every three months—a meager amount that is not enough to survive on.
Part 2: Solutions and Appeals
Young people often say, “It’s better to leave Pakistan,” and dream of securing visas to Arab or European countries. They’ve lost faith in the future of this nation. The government must create better job opportunities, enabling people to use their skills and earn a living within their own hometowns.
Investment and Infrastructure Development
Investment is essential for Pakistan’s progress. The government should encourage foreign companies to establish businesses here and provide full support to local entrepreneurs. Infrastructure across the country must also be upgraded and modernized.
Role of the Three Branches of Government
In our country, the three branches of government—legislature, executive, and judiciary—are crucial for a functioning state. However, if the economy continues to fall and poverty continues to rise, then clearly, the executive and judiciary are failing to fulfill their responsibilities.
A Path Forward
If we truly want our country to develop, we must align our personal and collective actions with the teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His example provides the best blueprint for building a society rooted in justice, kindness, and discipline. By doing so, our country can rise above all others.
Conclusion
May my beloved country prosper. And may that prosperity come when every citizen becomes aware of their rights and responsibilities and works with sincerity for the betterment of the nation.
